Earn a Maine High School Equivalency Diploma when you pass the five GED tests in reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. The diploma you earn through the GED Program is the legal equivalent of a diploma earned from a high school.
- You need to be 18 or older to take the tests. A few exceptions allow people to test at 17. Please call for more information.

- You will find out if you are ready for the GED Program by completing reading and math assessments and by completing a writing sample.
- If you are not ready for GED Testing, you can brush up by enrolling in our free basic education classes.
- If you are ready for GED Testing, we offer a free GED Test Preparation class.
GED Test Preparation Course
Are you preparing to take the GED Tests? This course provides you with a complete overview of the five test areas: Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, Math and Literature. This course is especially designed for people who have solid basic skills in reading, writing, and math and just need a quick refresher before taking the Official GED Tests.
