Beginning Reading
Beginning reading is for individuals who have difficulty reading and writing. The reading program provides individualized one-on-one tutoring sessions which are private and confidential. You can learn to read. Our teacher is highly trained and uses the best teaching strategies available. Call 474-7553 for an appointment.
Language Arts I
Improve your reading and writing skills in this small group class where you get plenty of one-on-one attention. This class is especially designed for people who read at a beginning basic level and need to develop skills for the Pre-GED Tests, work or college.
Language Arts II
Improve your reading and writing skills in this small group class where you get plenty of one-on-one attention. This class is especially designed for people who read at an intermediate basic level and need to develop skills for the GED Tests, work or college.
Math Foundations I
Math Foundations I is the basic math you need to be successful at work, at college, and at home. You will be surprised how much easier it is to do higher level math when you have mastered addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers and simple fractions, decimals, and percents. This class is especially designed for math skills at the beginning/intermediate basic level.
Math Foundations II
Math Foundations II continues from where the Foundations I class leaves off and teaches basic math skills you need to be successful at work, at college, and at home such as fractions, decimals, percents, integers, geometry, data analysis, number theory, measurement and beginning algebra. This class is especially designed for math skills at the intermediate/advanced basic level.
Life Skills
In the Life Skills class you will practice daily living skills that range from basic math and reading to communication, customer service and team work. This class offers you the chance to work in a small business, a caféZ, where you will perform a variety of jobs. You will set your own goals and work toward them in a safe and creative environment.
