Keyboarding as it is commonly called, is a skill that has become increasingly important in the computer age. Keyboarding is essential for effective computer use. Adults who never felt they needed or wanted secretarial skills are now required to use computers in their work and find they must know keyboard and typing skills to do their jobs. Even those who simply wish to dabble online from their homes, sending E-mail and surfing the Internet need to know keyboarding skills. Keyboarding I students earn a certificate when they achieve 30 wpm.

Computer Basics for Seniors and Beginners
Designed especially for the over 55 crowd, this course will lead you gently into the computer age. A computer course for beginners who use Personal Computers (PC) with Microsoft Windows operating systems. You will master basic computer survival skills, such as using a mouse, operating in a Windows environment, word processing and setting up files. Explore the Internet, use email, and make cards and other computer goodies.

MS Office Application Series
MS Office Applications: Word (word processing), Excel (spreadsheet) and Access (database) are tools that will enhance performance of routine clerical and accounting tasks at home or in the office. This course is an introduction to these powerful programs and is offered in a “series” (separate classes for each application). Integrate word, Excel and Access to merge mailing lists to form letters and labels. Save your class work on your own devices and hone your skills at home! Basic computer skills are desirable.
