Modern Fly Tying
Whether you're a beginner or intermediate, you'll want to sign up for this course on fly tying using modern patterns, tools, materials and techniques. Flies taught will include streamers, dries, nymphs and wets. Flies will come from local and out of state areas. It would be helpful if you have your own fly tying vise and basic tools.

Introduction to Fly Fishing
This course will introduce you to the sport of fly fishing, including an overview of tackle, line rigging. knots, casting, entomology, and fishing techniques.

Introduction to Archaeology
Archaeology is the study of the material remains of human culture -- history that simply never got written down. This course explores the methods and theory behind archaeology and uses well known or local examples -- such as Ancient Egypt, Stonehenge and Native American culture -- to consider what we can learn from the past that the history books do not tell us. This is the course that Dr. Henry Jones Jr. (aka Indiana) would have taught you.
Thursdays 6-8 p.m.

Yoga
This one hour session integrates breathing and movement to guide the student through a series of yoga postures. The postures will focus on body awareness and stress relief. Students should bring their own yoga mat, water and wear comfortable clothing.

Hunter Safety
This class covers basic in-the-field first aid and survival, making a survival kit, use of maps and compass, hunter ethics, animal identification, hunter responsibilities, landowner relations, gun handling and safety. Children aged 10-15 must be accompanied by an adult.

Kickbox Aerobics
Are you looking for a total body workout that totally kicks butt? How about a way to increase your stamina, flexibility, and strength while listening to your favorite dance mixes? Kickbox Aerobics combines elements of boxing, martial arts, and aerobics to provide overall physical conditioning and toning. Focusing on muscle control, dance and boxing, this hot new workout is bound to energize and stimulate you! Comfy clothes and an exercise mat are all that’s needed.

Indoor Walking
In conjunction with the Eight Weeks to Wellness program, walk in the warmth and safety of our district’s elementary schools. There will be no charge and no registration. Just be sure to change into your walking shoes and sign in! Start date: October 27, 2008 (ongoing)

Yoga Tone
This class is a combination of yoga stretching, low-impact yoga aerobics, toning exercises and relaxation. Concentration will be on breathing, correct form and balance, done slowly to meditation music. Come and strengthen your endurance for life, creating peace, love and hard bodies! Ms. Brown is a Certified Muscular Therapist with 21 years experience.
