MSAD 54 Skowhegan Area Classes

Golf, Beginning

The beginning golf classes are designed to build and maintain the proper golf swing including grip, stance, alignment, and follow through, as well as rules and etiquette. This course will focus on the fundamentals of putting, chipping, and the full swing, with an emphasis on fun and active participation. By the end of the session,  we will have you hitting the ball in the air with reasonable distance.

Location: Skowhegan Area High School

Day: Thursday Time: 6:00-8:00

Inside Walking

Inside walking is a way to stay active during the winter months.  This program is sponsor by Somerset Hearth and Health and Redington Fairfield General Hospital.  The following is a schedule of schools opened for your convenience.

Canaan Elementary School Mon-Fri-6:00-7:00 a.m.

Cornville Elementary School Mon-Fri-6:45-7:45 a.m. and Mon/ Wed 2:45-3:30 p.m.

Margaret Chase Smith School Mon-Fri. 6:30-7:30 a.m.

Mercer Elementary School Mon-Fri. 6:30-7:30 a.m.

Smithfield Elementary School Mon-Fri. 6:30-7:30 a.m.

Skowhegan Area High School Mon-Thurs. 6:00-7:30 p.m. (when Adult Education is in session/use the Adult Education entrance.

Indoor Walking
In conjunction with the Eight Weeks to Wellness program, walk in the warmth and safety of our district’s elementary schools. There will be no charge and no registration. Just be sure tochange into your walking shoes and sign in! Start date: January7, 2007
