Students research mask from various places/countries/cultures.  They looked up Greek Mythology, Chinese Theatre Mask, Egyptian, and African.  Students were required to look up images of various places/cultures and create something similar.  The medium used were plaster gauze on top of a plastic mold.  The class was required to create facial expression by manipulating the eye brows, nose and mouth with plaster.  Each student mixed colors for the "skin" as depicted in their research, while adding their own nuance.
