“Tie Dye Still Life Pictures”
|
Inspired by Henri Matisse and Paul Cezanne, second grade students from Mrs. Kay,
Smithfield school learned how to create one of the many genres in art; still
life. This was enhanced by using watercolor primary colors; yellow, red,
and blue. Drawings were made on a coffee filter like paper, folded 5 times
in a triangle. Each tip was dipped into the watercolors and when paper
is unfolded, a symmetrical geometric pattern appears with the drawing. |
