OBSERVATION STILL LIFE DRAWINGS/PAINTINGS

| What fun we had with this lesson! There were 3 vases with flowers distributed around the classroom. This helps students to focus on a particular vase nearest them. Students were required to draw the flowers first, then the vase, then the stems and finally the table. The class were encouraged to add their own ideas; insects, color and texture. This approach gave students “emphasis” on the object and not the background, while training their eyes to see shape, form and color. |
