Goals/Objectives:

• Teach students about the fall colors
• Teach students to draw from the world around them; through observation
• Teach students about foreground, background, and composition
• Teach students new art techniques while using new art materials

Materials:

Drawing paper
Watercolor crayons
Sharpies
Brushes
Water bowls

Lesson:
Demonstrate drawing swirls of red, orange, and yellow across the top of the page.  Show how to draw tree trunks using the sharpie – making some taller and some shorter, to show that some are closer than others. Draw grass.

Dip paintbrush in the water; make 3 circles around each tree top. If desired, color in the grass and tree trunks as well.
