Crazy Texture Fish
After studying different types of lines, shapes, patterns and textures around
them, 2nd and 3rd graders put their imaginations to the test. They invented
their own “funny fish,” as they came to be known as – fish
containing as many designs and types of lines on them as possible. They
then tried a similar technique for the background: using crayons, they first
covered their paper with different types of shapes, created color patterns by
repeating the shapes within each other, and then found out what happened when
they used watercolor over the crayons. The crayon resisted the watercolor
and made even more interesting patterns and textures. |
