4th graders learned all about warm and cool colors, shapes, background
and foreground, and composition while doing this project.
They discovered that warm colors – the ones you might find in fire, the
sun, or light bulbs – actually make us FEEL warm. These colors are red,
orange and yellow. Cool colors – you guessed it – make us feel cool.
These colors are green, blue, and purple. A scientific study determined that
colors actually have a feeling associated with them. Scientists took 2 rooms,
and made the temperature 60 degrees in one room, and 70 degrees in the other.
They painted the 60 degree room bright red, and the 70 degree room blue. Amazingly,
people actually felt WARMER in the red room; just because of the color it was
painted! |
