For
those new parents and a reminder for "old"
parents, your child will have library one day a week. All grades will come to the library as separate classes .
Note the schedule on the Cornville Library page. He/She
will sign out books and/or magazines for a one week
period and be expected to return them the following
week. Books can be renewed twice if they have the
book with them. Overdue books and magazines
will get one verbal notice, then one written
notice, followed by a bill sent home to parents.
Some good ideas for helping your child remember library
day and returning books is to mark the calender he/she sees
most; for example, the one in his/her bedroom, the
one in the living room or the one on the refrigerator.
Perhaps you can have a special basket or decorated
box for library material. Also praise and support
your child in some form for returning books. Responsibility
is key. Parents are welcome to sign out books for their children. This will ensure that they are reading what you want them to read and what you have time to read to them.
I also have several interactive pages on the library site to spark the kids interest in library reading and books. Join the fun and keep in touch with me.
HELP! HELP!! HELP!! HELP!!
I am looking
for people who would like to do some volunteer work in the library. Also parents are welcome to read to the students
in the library. These jobs include, but are not limited to, putting
books away, signing out books, processing books, straightening shelves and
repairing books. Call me at 474-3944 if you or anyone
you know would like to help. Email: bhogate@msad54.org
