Norridgewock Central Grade School is a MSAD
#54, K-6 elementary school with a 2005-2006 enrollment of 267
students . The town of Norridgewock, Maine,is located on the
banks of the Kennebec River in Somerset County, five miles west
of Skowhegan and 18 miles east of Farmington, Maine .
Our school houses two half-day
kindergarten sessions, two first grade classrooms, and three
each of grades two through six. We have two resource rooms and
a Transitions room accommodating district behavioral needs and
students from the Beckett House.
NCGS is a state of Maine Literature Collaborative School, Reading
Recovery School and is a current recipient of the national Reading
First initiative.
Our
school motto is T.E.A.M., Together Everyone Achieves More . Our
entire staff believes that collaboration is the only way to
provide the best of all opportunities for improved classroom
instruction and increased student learning.
