**All applicants must be graduating high school seniors
unless specified otherwise.**
Elks National Foundation 2009 Most Valuable Student Scholarship – January 6, 2009 deadline.
Elks National Foundation Legacy Award – applicants must be a child, grandchild, (or step-child, step-grandchild or legal ward) of a living Elk who joined the order on or before April 1, 2006. The Elk must be a paid-up member through Mach 31, 2009. Great-grandchildren are not eligible. January 9, 2009.
American Lung Association of Maine Golf Privilege Card Scholarship – applicants must be involved in the game of golf, furthering his or her education in a health education/health promotion, medical or environmental related field, and be a non-tobacco user. March 15 deadline.
The Barking Foundation Scholarship – Maine residents with financial need pursuing accredited degree programs in undergraduate educational institutions are eligible to apply. February 14 deadline.
Maine Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers Scholarship – applicants must be pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering. January 31 deadline
Plum Creek Community Scholarship – children of Plum Creek employees are not eligible – January 23 deadline.
Maine Educational Secretaries Association Scholarship – April 10 deadline.
Clyde Russell Scholarships – February 1, 2009 deadline
S.A.H.S. Lady Indians Basketball Scholarship – applicants must have played basketball for four years, have a minimum GPA of 85, and have shown dedication and commitment to the team. May 1 deadline.
Margaret Chase Smith Essay Contest – April 1 deadline.
Shaw-Worth Memorial Scholarship – selection is based upon demonstration of meaningful contribution to animal protection over a significant period of time. March 16 deadline.
SAHS Field Hockey Alumnae Association Scholarship – applicants must have participated in the field hockey program at SAHS and will continue playing field hockey in college. April 1 deadline.
