Scatterplot Matrix

In very simple terms, a scatterplot matrix is a large matrix with scatterplots instead of numbers. Each column (vertical) is represented by one variable and that variable represents the x-axis in that column. Each row (horizontal) also has one variable. In that row all the y-axis are represented by that variable.

For example, all of column one is represented by Horsepower and all of row five is represented by cost. They meet in (column 1, row 5) above. It shows how Horsepower is related to cost when hosrepower is on the x-axis and cost is on the y-axis.
