Here is the solar hot water tank we are using. It was installed by Energyworks last year. The hot antifreeze from the roof enters the system from the black pipe. The copper thing to the left of the dial is the heat transfer unit. Heat from the antifreeze gets transferred to water and is stored in the big tank. On sunny days the temp of the water goes to over 120 degrees even in the spring and fall. Two small blue pumps move the glycol. They are powered by a small PV panel up on the roof.
