The Applied and Fine Arts Department delivers
practical educational experiences to students of all levels.
Through experiences in planning, problem - solving and personal organization
students learn aspects of creativity, self discovery and fulfillment. Explorations
of the world of work and personal expressions lead the student to better understand
his or her role in our technical society.

| Consumer and Family Science |
Our curriculum and learning experiences
are organized around personal, family and societal concerns that the students
face now and in the future. This
focus on social and economic well - being of families is needed more by all students
than ever before.
Specific areas of study provide learners with skills to make nutritious food
choices, to communicate with their peers, children, and parents: to make consumer
decisions; and to share space/property at home and school.

Industrial Education
is the pathway to the adult world of work and industry. In today's rapidly changing
society the study of technology enables the student to productively fulfill
their role in that world.
Industrial Ed. provides three areas of emphasis

- As an educational overview for any student
stressing the practical experiences of the world of work, the history of industry
and the social ramification of technological change.
- As a feeder program for secondary vocational education
- As a foundation for post - secondary vocational educational, pre engineering
and technical education.

| Art |
The course offerings consist of three introductory
level classes. These courses encourage students to evolve an individual expressive
style. Through their work, students will develop an appreciation of art in their
environment.
