Lunch: Twisted Cheesy Breadsticks w/dipping sauce, Tossed Salad w/Romaine, Crisp Maine Apples, Fruit and Veggie Bar.

 

Unified Basketball sign ups are in the office. The season does not start until the second week of January. You may participate in another Winter Sport along with UB. No experience playing basketball necessary to join. Please see Mr. Morin in the Media Center/DLR with any questions.

Football Banquet Tickets are available in the office, please see Mrs. Fitzpatrick.

 

Please post the following winter sports practice/tryout schedules on the announcments for Monday, November 20th:

Boys Basketball: 3:00-5:00pm (all boys who want to try out)

Girls Basketball: 5:00-8:00pm (all girls who want to try out)

Indoor Track: 2:30-4:30pm (meet in the weight room)

Ice Hockey: 5:00-6:00am @ Colby (bus leaves SAHS at 4:15am)

Cheering: 5:00-7:00pm @ the Skowhegan Armory

Wrestling: 3:30-5:30pm (in the upper gym)

Alpine Ski: No practice on Monday, November 20th- The ski season can’t start until November 27th at the earliest. We will let you know during the week of November 27th, when the first meeting and then the first workout will be.

 

First bowling practice is Tuesday Nov 21@ 3pm

SENIOR NEWS:

The Early Action deadline for the University of Maine is December 1st. If you are applying early action, you MUST see Mrs. MacFarland in the guidance office ASAP to ensure you are able to meet your deadline.

Monday, November 27th , Jostens will do a presentation on Cap & Gowns and other graduation items in the auditorium from 9:40-10am.

Wednesday, December 6th, Jostens will return to collect orders during lunches from 11-1pm.

Seniors: Triple D’s Redemption Center in Norridgewock has been gracious enough to open up an on-going bottle drive for us. Please spread the word that people who would like to donate bottles to our class should take their bottles there (same driveway as Oosoola Park) and tell them they are for the Class of 2018.

Jostens will be here to take class ring orders on November 16th in the lobby from 11-1. There are extra packets in the office.

Thursday, November 16th, Jostens will return to collect class ring orders during lunches from 11-1pm.

 

FRESHMAN NEWS:

We need to raise money for our class. We will be holding weekly bake sales on Wednesdays. If you are able to bake something to contribute please post below and let us know what you can make and bring. Items need to be individually wrapped for selling. Items can be dropped on in the office Wednesday morning to our class advisor Ms. Strout. We appreciate everyone that can help out.

Student Council will be collecting warm clothes in the office, drop off your new or gently used jackets, hats, mittens, scarves, or other warm clothing. Anything is appreciated.

SAHS Theatre presents Almost, Maine, on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, November 16, 17 & 18, at 7PM and Saturday, November 18 at 2PM. Admission is $3 adults, $2 students/seniors.

 

New Spanish Club created by Brianne Austin and Taylor Sneed meets Tuesdays at 2:30 in O-10. It's a club to learn about Spanish culture. You do not need to know Spanish to join!

 

The Gay, Straight, Transgender Alliance meets the first two Wednesdays of every month at 2:30 in O10. Everyone is welcome!

Math Team Announcement:

Math Team will be meeting on Wednesday mornings at 7:15am in G2 and after school until 3:00pm in G3. Come in if you can to get support on your practice problems if you have the time. It is never to late to join, see Mr. Hale or Mr. Small in the Green section if you have any questions!

ART CLUB ON WEDNESDAYS IN Y-6 ALL ARE INVITED!!

There will be weekly bake sales held every Wednesday after school. Bring your money for some yummy treats!
