JOURNAL EXPECTATIONS

This is your individual record of what you have contributed to the project.

It will be used by the evaluators to grade the first two parts of the rubrics. (50 points)

This journals will be checked periodically.

  • there will be three checks
  • each check will be worth an additional 18 to 20 points
  • this will also effect the grading of the first two parts of the rubrics.

It must contain the following:

  • information done over a period of time from the last check to the due date.
  • description of work useful -- why and not useful -- why not.
  • dated information
  • data collected.
  • notes on problem solving.
  • record of useful web sites with urls.
  • copies of e-mails.
  • summary statements.

Individual information should be stored electronically

See specific Journal check for expectations and point value.

Readable information

The evaluators must be able to read and understand your work and ideas.

This check of your individual record of what you have contributed to the Project is worth 14 points. This is in addition to the points that will be given at the end of the Project based on the first two parts of the rubrics. (50 points)

Scoring is based on the following Rubrics.

The journals should contain or cover:
