In addition to the identification of the muscles listed above, the first testl will include the notes given in class and how muscles are named p. 174 of Marieb and p.187 in "Hole's". You should be able to give an example of a muscle named in that way. For example a muscle named for the direction of its fibers is the external oblique (fibers run at an angle or obliquely)

Another resource to help you study for the practical is the Web-based Dissection Review page from McGraw-Hill publishers and Penn State University. It has excellent professional quality photographs that give the origin, insertion, and action of a muscle when you click on it. Awesome.
