SAMS Teachers Participate in Sugarloaf
Marathon and 15K
On Sunday May 21, Elm team members, Mrs. Burns, Mrs. Evans, Mrs.
Berry, and Abbey Dubois were joined by fellow SAM’s teachers,
Richard Gordon and Jaime Jones to participate in the Sugarloaf Marathon
and 15K. The team set the goal of being in the 15 K as part of the
Lighten ME program as a motivational tool in their commitiment to
a healthieir lifestyle. Mrs. Berry ran her first marathon in memory
of her father; her goal was to join with teachers from SAD 58 to
raise funds and awareness for the National Leukemia and Lymphoma
Society. The SAD 58 staff raised over 1500.00!
The group is already making plans to participate in the event next
year! |
