Apples are quite a treat this time of year
in Maine, and so too the Apple experience here in our middle school...in fact,
it couldn't be sweeter! What an exciting time for the staff and students here
at the Skowhegan Area Middle School. We are learning so much about the professional
film making process as we observe the crew busy at work filming students engaged
in technology rich curriculum activities. They are capturing everything from
students making podcasts, to students interviewing and filming a local organic
farmer . Students and staff are impressed by the way they all work together as
a team making sure the sound, video and editing happen in smooth and harmonious
manner.
The team not only filmed students here at school, but also
visited two students in their homes. Scott Bosworth, our technology Pathways
teacher works on his family farm in Cornville and if you look below, you will
see Scott busy at work and needing that Apple Notebook while in action... a rural
Maine teacher working from sun rise to sun set!
Our school was chosen 1 of 4 in the country to be featured
on Apple's education website and we all look forward to viewing the final product
later in the year. |
