Saturday the SAMS Jazz Band went to Westbrook for the Middle School State Jazz Festival. For the first time in SAMS history, we came away with a 1 rating which in turn sent us home with a Jazz Gold Award. Also,one of our students, William Qualey on Trumpet, was one of five students to receive an Outstanding Musicianship Award.

I am very proud to have been with these kids when they achieved this wonderful goal. They represented themselves and their school with enthusiasm and pride.
