Web Page Criteria Sheet
Your web page will be evaluated for the following criteria:
1. Your web page opens to an introductory page
2. The introductory page contains the following:
- Your name and your partner’s name
- Social studies - Your class - Maple team
- Working link(s) to your individual topic
- Working link(s) to the book information on which you took notes
3. Information about your chosen country:
- Your information gives an overview of the country
- Your information focuses on a specific aspect of the country: food,
culture, etc.
- Your research is more than a retelling of the facts, but shows a synthesis
of ideas
- All links to Internet web sites and pages within your project work
4. Overall Visual Appeal:
- Appropriate graphic elements (pictures, maps, and the like) are used
to enhance the
information and the audience’s understanding of your topic
- The font is easy to read
- The layout of each web page is well organized and user friendly
- Background choices and color do not diminish the readability of your
information
5. Navigation and Flow:
- Each link works
- Backward and forward buttons work
- Navigation is seamless
6. MUGS (mechanics, usage, grammar, spelling):
- There are no spelling errors in your project
- Titles are used to direct your readers’ attention
7. Time Management:
- Class time is utilized appropriately
- Deadlines for the research and web page completion are met
