What is Pathways?

Pathways allows students to explore and identify their interests, learning and personality styles and how they relate to possible career paths. They will be researching various occupations to find what they do, what it is like where they work, how long it takes to train for the job, and how that training is acquired. We also take a glimpse into the world of budgeting and handling money.

Using Technology

All the while we will be integrating computer technology into the curriculum as much as possible. We will be using vehicles such as computerized slide shows, databases, word processing, creation of web pages, and use of the Internet to explore the many career/life topics mentioned above. Students will be attempting to develop a web based portfolio of their work to share with you at home. Please ask your child to share their Pathways work with you throughout the trimester.
