Description

Kenerson Farm has 116 acres and was established in 1998. They raise American Buffalo (Bison). Their products are naturally raised without the use of hormones, chemicals or antibiotics. Their buffalo eat high quality hay and are on pasture in the summer, with plenty of room to roam. They invite you to purchase some of their delicious buffalo burgers, steaks, ribs, roasts or sausages.

History

The North American Bison is the largest land mammal in North America. The North American Bison is not related to the Water Buffalo, or the Cape Buffalo. The buffalo migrated from Siberia into Alaska. They have lived in North America for over 300,000 years. Today the North American Bison lives in all 50 states.

Nutrition

Buffalo is nutritional because it has highly nutrience because of the proportion of high protein. Buffalo also has low fat to its caloric value. Buffalo is a good source of iron, zinc, phosphorous and several essential fatty acids. Buffalo has less fat, calories and cholesterol than any other meat. Buffalo has a very wholesome flavor that it is almost unbearable to resist. It can be prepared the same way as most traditional red meats.
