These are photographs of Representative Baldacci (left) and Secretary of Defense Cohen (right). Both of these men will play large parts in this Suitcase Project. When the suitcase gets back from Paris it will be received by Cohen who will give it to Baldacci. Since Baldacci is a Maine Representative he will be bringing it from Washington D.C. to Maine . All the students involved thank both of you!! We hope that the Governor, Angus King, will attend Crate Day at the museum on June 9th where there will be a massive celebration and a tribute to Chuck Cianchette. (E-mail to Angus King)

When Rep. Baldacci attended Crate Day in 1999, he told a great story about hearing John F. Kennedy speak. Even though he was young at the time, he said he will always remember it and it inspired him to serve the public today.

Mr. Cohen wrote, "I commend you for undertaking such a tremendously worthwhile project to bring Charles Lindbergh's flight to life for our students. I am also pleased that the traveling cranes will also commerate our mutual friend, Chuck Cianchette." He closed the letter by saying, "Thank you for the opportunity to participate."
