New York
The suitcase traveled to the Seaford School on
Long Island, New York and then on to Paris, France. The Seaford
Middle School enjoyed the gifts and added a really neat video of a
student run news show. Their feature story was the arrival of our
suitcase. It was really something to see those kids opening our
suitcase and commenting on the journey. They sent it on to Paris by a
special jet service. The jet flew into Le Bourget airport just like
Charles Lindbergh did. It came back to Washington, D.C. at the
Pentagon.
Paris,
France
Our friends in Paris received the suitcase and
enjoyed the gifts. They added a beautiful Millennium cloth with
signatures of the students there. They sent a message in French for
us. We also got a flag. We will update this page with scanned in
items soon.
Washington,
D.C.
Our Maine friend Bill Cohen received the
suitcase and added a really nice letter, a coin and other things. We
will show those in the near future. Go read his letter
if you missed it!
Bangor,
Maine
Anyway, he mailed it on to John Baldacci's office in Bangor,
Maine. We went to pick it up and he said that the letter from Reeve Lindbergh
in the log book was like a Mark McGuire rookie card all signed. We thought that
was pretty funny, but accurate, too. He was very, very, nice and we bookmarked
our website on his computer. He is going to read more about this project. He
knew Chuck and he said that Chuck was a wonderful and kind man. We have a picture
of us meeting with him
and a little iMovie.
Skowhegan, Palmyra and
Canaan, Maine
The suitcase then went to the Skowhegan Area Middle School and we showed it to our parents on "parent night".We also showed all our flight and 20's projects. The crate then went to the Palmyra and Canaan kids and on Friday, June 9th it will be at the great and famous CRATE DAY at the Lindbergh Crate Museum in Canaan, Maine!!!!
