Mr. Race and his friend, Scott Evans, flew the leg into Republic Field on Long Island, New York. Mr. Race went to a great deal of effort to insure that the cranes were delivered to New York on schedule. He wrote to say that it was a pleasure to be involved with the vision and that he found the enthusiasm catching.
