Overview:
SAMS Student Council is a leadership group led by Mrs. Tanner. It is an organization of energetic and responsible students who have a lot of enthusiasm and school spirit. Members do well academically, exhibit good behavior, are hard workers and are positive role models in our school. We are "DOERS" and work diligently to make a difference in our school, our community and our world.

Our Activities
We collect Tabs for the Shriners Hospitals
We collect the Helps Schools Certificates
We give to World Vision and have purchased goats and chickens for families in third world countries
We collect quarters for the March of Dimes
We recycle paper in our school
We have food drives for the local food cupboard
We shop for needy families at Christmas
We collect Coats for Kids in December
We give to many local charities such as the American Cancer Society, Somerset Humane Society, and we help out other local causes.

Fundraisers
Currently we have one major school wide fundraiser in November. We sell T shirts for Christmas gift giving. There are opportunities to win free t shirts and monetary prizes through this fundraiser. We encourage as much of the student body to participate as possible.
If we do not make enough money in November, for all of the donations and activies we do throughout the year, the Student Council has a cookie dough fundraiser in the spring.
