Paul Revere

Paul Revere was born in Boston on January 1,1735.His father was born in France and later moved to Boston. His father was a silversmith until he died, but Paul wasn't old enough to take over the shop. His mother took over until he was old enough. Paul also was a member of the Sons of Liberty. The Sons of Liberty was a group of people going against English rules.

On April 18,1775 Paul Revere rode the ride of his life.He got on his horse, and rode through the towns west of Boston. Just then two British soldiers tried to stop him from going, but Paul kept on coming yelling,''Get up.The regulars are coming! Get armed!''

On October 19, 1781 Paul Revere was a leader of the Patriots. That night a big ship arrived from England in the Boston Harbor full of tea. A whole bunch of Patriots, dressed like Indians with axes, had attacked the ship and threw the tea over the side. Someone stuck tea in their coat and they were thrown out. When everybody woke up they were amazed at what happened. That was the Boston Tea Party.

Paul Revere was a good man. We remember him as a great silversmith and a Patriot. He was a giving father, and a great warrior. He was a great American!
