Big 6 Information Skills for Student Achievement Developed by Mike Eisenberg and Bob Berkowitz, the Big6 is the most widely known and widely used approach to teaching information and technology skills in the world. The Way Back Machine shows you what a web site looked like last month or last year. It creates snapshots in time of web sites for research purposes. To use the Way Back Machine, enter the domain name in the search box labeled "Take Me Back" on the main home page. Then, select a date snapshot to view from the returned list of years. Betterwhois covers more web site addresses than Whois and will often tell you the status as well as the owner of a web site. To use Betterwhois, enter the domain name in the search box and select "If you are researching this domain . ." from the returned list of options.
Kartoo shows a diagram of web sites that link to and from the web address under review. All WhoIs Like whois and betterwhois, allwhois is another tool to tell you a web site's status and owner.
UW-Parkside Information Literacy Tutorial...University of Wisconsin – Parkside site.  Contains online tutorial that covers a number of Information Literacy standards.  Looks well developed.  Quizzes have also been developed for the tutorial. MASL Resources that have already been coordinated by the Maine Association of School Librarians.  Includes information about assessment, best practices, and useful resources.
TILT A comprehensive online tutorial that covers several of the standards identified by ETS and the ICT Assessment as essential for 21st century success.

CEPARE ..The Center for Education Policy, Applied Research, and Evaluation (CEPARE), in the College of Education and Human Development of the University of Southern Maine, provides assistance to school districts, agencies, organizations, and university faculty by conducting research, evaluation, and policy studies.

In addition, CEPARE co-directs the Maine Education Policy Research Institute (MEPRI), an institute jointly funded by the Maine State Legislature and the University of Maine System.  This institute was established to conduct studies on Maine education policy and the Maine public education system for the Maine Legislature.
