The Work involves and addition and renovation to the existing bus maintenance garage and existing cold storage building. The scope of work includes various site improvements, and addition/renovation of existing buildings.
Site improvements include traffic flow improvement, add staff parking/paved areas, add bus charging stations and bus parking, existing underground tank removal, and adding two new liquid propane storage tanks, apply recycled asphalt paving (RAP) to various bus-parking areas. There is an add alternate to upgrade to finish the bus circulation drive with asphalt pavement. The addition to the bus garage includes a new flood resistant stair/elevator tower to provide ADA access and improve life safety egress requirements. An extension of the existing interior mezzanine offices will be constructed. The existing exterior envelope will be insulated with spray foam insulation and thermal insulative coating.
The existing cold storage will have a portion of the building converted to a heated mechanic working garage. This also will have the existing building envelope spray foam insulation and thermal insulative coating applied. Other improvements include adding a two-post care lift and electrical upgrades to accommodate new maintenance activities.
