Full-Time High School Completion Teacher/Coordinator
Job Description
MSAD 54 Adult Education is seeking a high school completion teacher/ coordinator.
Under the supervision of the Director of Adult Education, the HiSET Coordinator shall be responsible for managing the high school diploma and HiSET curricula and programming.
Specific duties include teaching HiSET orientation classes, student tutoring, exam preparation, and file documentation/record keeping.
Experience with remote instruction desirable. The teacher/coordinator should be prepared to work with learners in both online and in-person settings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education or relevant field
- Experience working with adult learners (preferred)
- Proficiency in Learning Management Systems and distance learning principles
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with colleagues, students, families, and community partners
- Adult education or 7-12 certification
Work Schedule/Compensation
- 36 weeks, 35 hours/week, Monday - Thursday
- Follows Adult Education calendar, which includes holidays and school vacations
- Paid sick and personal time
- Single subscriber health insurance or cash-in-lieu benefit
- Starting salary $38,720-$49,643 depending on qualifications and experience.
